Show formula
Daily energy is miles per vehicle multiplied by kWh per mile. Daily charging minutes are daily energy divided by charger power and charging efficiency, then converted to minutes. Charging stops use a 20% to 80% battery window. Bay minutes per vehicle are the larger of charging minutes or charge-stop reset minutes, plus non-charging reset time, plus pull-in and pull-out overhead for every stop. Bays and chargers are sized against depot open hours and target utilisation.

How the math works
Simple enough to audit
The planner separates charger load from bay load. A vehicle may need a charger, a cleaning lane, an inspection lane, or one bay that handles several jobs at once. The tool assumes cabin reset, sensor cleaning, and inspection can happen during a charge stop when the charge takes longer than the hands-on work. Non-charging resets still consume bay time. The answer is a planning estimate, not an engineering stamp.
